Apartment Marina D'Or sits on the beautiful 'Orange Blossom Coast' on the Eastern coastal region of Spain. Oropesa Del Mar is situated between the two great ancient cities of Valencia, approximately 80 kilometers to the south, and Barcelona approximately 300 km to the north, on the Costa del Azahar region on the Mediterranean. Oropesa del Mar started life as a picturesque fishing village on the east coast of Spain. Featuring The Tower of the King, nowadays one of the last known Valencian military buildings. Its aesthetics presents an unique, Renaissance style among the military architecture of the XVI century. Today Oropesa has grown in size and stature alongside the fantastic development that is now Marina D'Or, creating a bustling holiday town in the summer months and a quiet friendly village in the winter months. There are many towns and villages within short driving distances to create a holiday adventure you will always remember. With over 300 days of beautiful sunshine here on the orange-blossom coast you are never far away from the lovely warm sunshine with average temperatures in summer around the 30 degree mark and in winter a 'chilly' 10 degrees. |

Getting to the Costa Azahar Transport links to Apartment Marina D'Or are excellent with good train routes (Renfe Trains), bus links (Alsa National Express) and roads. By road: The Mediterranean motorway, A-7, connects with the European motorway network and the N-340 runs parallel to the entire Castellón coast. The national motorway A-3 is the main connection to the centre of the country, while the N-234 and N-232 national roads connect with the Ebro valley and the north of the country. By rail: The Castellón coast has direct connections with the main Spanish and European cities. Castellón, Burriana, Villareal, Benicassim, Oropesa, Benicarló, Peníscola and Vinarós stations have daily services to and from Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid. There is a new airport under construction in Castellon leaving the visitor within 30 minutes of the resort. Completion date is expected in 2010.
